Crystal Palace fret over rules breach and Shaw stars again as WSL returns – Women’s Football Weekly

Faye Carruthers and Suzanne Wrack are joined by Tom Garry and Ayisha Gulati to discuss match day one in the WSL

On the podcast today: Faye Carruthers, Suzanne Wrack, Tom Garry and Ayisha Gulati look back on an action-packed opening weekend in WSL 1 and WSL 2.

Crystal Palace’s win against Everton was blighted by a breach of the rules, the champions Manchester City picked up where they left off, and Chelsea were the only one of last season’s top three to drop points.

Meanwhile, London City Lionesses are off and running, much-fancied Tottenham made a perfect start, and is there trouble ahead for Manchester United?

In WSL 2 Newcastle and Sunderland made impressive starts, and it could be a long season for Durham. Plus there’s a look at forthcoming Champions League fixtures, and just what is Suzy up to for her big birthday?
